Name Tent Activity

For the past few years, I have asked my students to create name tents to help me get to know them at the beginning of the year or semester. I had given my students a blank sheet of paper and asked them to write their names and a few fun facts about themselves... Ultimately, their handwriting would be too small to read, illegible, or they would fold the paper in half the wrong way! This year, I decided to make this task a bit easier by making a template in slides. Just post this assignment in goo

This game requires minimal planning and setup and is perfect for a fun and low-key winter music class! Simply print the slides with the letters A-G and hang them up around your room. Next, print out as many copies of the notehead/staff slides as it takes to give one to each student in your class (plus a few extras). Clefs are not included to keep things simple. Read through the instructions and rules with your students, play some festive music and have a (snow)ball! *Considerations: 1. It's a

I love to hang photos of my students' accomplishments around the room! Bulletin boards with pictures of themselves, their peers, and past students always seem to attract the most attention, so I decided to make a bulletin board that tied a positive message into the mix! All of your end-of-the-year performances have passed, making it challenging to keep your students engaged and motivated through the last day of school (*and beyond!*) This project guides students through the process of selecting their own music to work on for the remainder of the school year OR over the summer. Using sheet music direct, students can explore music that motivates THEM. They can listen to audio samples, change the tempo, the key, etc. Some arrangements even have accompaniments tha

Additional biographical information

As a fellow music educator, I certainly don’t claim to know everything there Is about being the perfect orchestra or music teacher. However, what I lack In perfection, I make up for in passion and enthusiasm. I have a lot of fun experimenting with new ways to stay organized and motivate my students, and I believe this excitement translates into the resources I create and offer on TPT. Each product is designed to make your teaching experience smoother and more enjoyable, just as it has for me. Your support and feedback are incredibly valuable, as they help me continue to grow and improve. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I look forward to providing more tools and resources for you and your students :)
