I have worked at an elementary therapeutic day school as a special education teacher. I am currently working in a structured teaching classroom for children in grades 3-5th.
This listing is for a 10 page Social Studies Activity/Resource kit. This pack goes over: latitude, longitude, vocabulary, regions of the US and North and South Poles. Please feel free to contact me with questions.
What Goes Together?
This posting is for a "What Goes Together" activity. This activity consists of items that would be found at home. There are a few ways to utilize this activity:
1. Laminate pieces and glue board to a file folder and use as a file folder activity
2. Provide the pieces and have the student paste the pictures onto the board
3. Teach using the already put together pairs and then use one of the other options to assess mastery of the topic
This file folder activity helps students to identify/label different body parts. There are 3 levels of labels (word and picture, word, picture) to allow this task to grow with the specific student.
These schedules can be used to provide structure at home for children on the Autism spectrum or for
children with other special needs. Simply print, laminate, cut and velcro. This file includes AM/PM schedules and a First/Then Board.
Please contact me if you need additional schedule
pieces and I can make a customized posting for you!
Make stories come alive in the palm of your hand! This is a fun way to help struggling students to focus on reading and characters. Students with Autism or other special needs will love this small book of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" that can be created and attached to a simple work glove with some velcro. The directions are the preview file! Using a "glove story" can help you to draw attention to your face to help make a connection with hard to reach students.
