Through this unit the students will understand and appreciate one another by constructing a community that celebrates one another's differences. There are many opportunities throughout the lesson for the students to develop individually as well as together as a group. This is also a perfect unit to incorporate the community.

In this mystery activity the students will use the clue cards to figure out who each pet belongs to. This can be completed alone, with a partner, in a small group, or as part of a workstation. This is a great activity to apply critical thinking skills.

This is fun mystery activity that will get the students thinking! The students will be detectives either alone or with a partner and figure out where the missing shapes are hiding. This is a great activity for workstations, when students need something to do when they finish early, or simply to practice problem solving as a whole class.
