What do you do during math when "Show your work" doesn't seem to be sufficient in getting the students to meet your expectations? I started using this checklist with my 2nd graders just about a year ago and it has made a huge difference in both the quality of their work and in the amount of time I have to spend repeating my expectations for solving word problems. Problem solving has also become more accurate because the students really do need to read the problem carefully in order to be able to
