Teaching is my passion. It is also my mission to create simple, fun, effective, standard based materials that my fellow teachers and I can use. Of course, this lead me to TPT. Science Tools Hands-On Activity/Stations - Minimum Prep - Maximum Engagement
This is one of my favorite activities to do at the beginning of the year while teaching scientific inquiry and about science tools! It is self guided and simple enough to do even if you are still practicing procedures. However, it also lets your students get a taste of all the hands-on fun that science has to offer!
This activity will allow your students an outlet for their curiosity, while teaching them good practices of science with specific tools.

Classifying Rocks Experiment
***No Materials Needed***
This experiment is a great way for you to introduce the three types of rocks to your students. I usually teach characteristics first, and use this activity is an excellent way to transition into the three types.
It first allows students to observe two groups of rocks. I usually use real rock sets in my classroom, but I have included pictures of rocks in this product as well (8 of each type) in case you do not have real rocks. The students lead the way, comparing and

"Who Am I?" Planet Facts Riddle Task Cards
