About the store
Welcome! I’m a Grade 5 French Immersion teacher in British Columbia who shares the exact resources I’ve created and found genuinely useful in my own classroom. Everything in this store is something I would (and do) use again — for full units, review cycles, skill-building blocks, and even sub plans. These are practical, classroom-tested materials designed to maintain structure and high expectations while still keeping students engaged. If it’s here, it worked. I currently teach Grade 5 French Immersion in BC and design resources aligned with the BC curriculum and French Immersion literacy benchmarks. My materials reflect real classroom needs: clear instructions, manageable prep, built-in scaffolding, and flexibility for differentiation. Many products are intentionally designed to stand alone, making them ideal for review days or substitute plans without sacrificing rigor. Long term, I hope to return to middle school, and I intentionally build independence and critical thinking into my resources to prepare students for that transition.

Teaching style

I believe in explicit instruction, clear routines, and strong skill development. Students thrive when they know exactly what is expected of them. At the same time, learning should feel purposeful and engaging. I often use collaborative challenges, structured writing tasks, grammar games, escape-style reviews, and analytical reading activities to deepen thinking. Structure builds confidence. Creativity builds motivation.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies, a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education, and a Master’s in Educational Technology. I am fluent in French and teach in a French Immersion setting. My background in science shapes my emphasis on inquiry, systems thinking, and critical analysis. My graduate work in educational technology deepened my understanding of digital pedagogy, instructional design, and meaningful technology integration. Together, these experiences inform my commitment to structured, evidence-based teaching practices that support deep thinking, independence, and authentic engagement.
