At first, I made these out of styrofoam plates by hand to use in my music classroom to help my students visualize the divisions and subdivisions that fit into a measure. Later we used them to help students come up with more inventive rhythms for their composition assignments. If you think of other uses, let me know! This freebie is for 4/4 time.
