Teaching style

I believe that learning should be an adventure. In my work, I prioritize play-based exploration because I’ve seen how curiosity and creativity spark a genuine love for school. However, I also know that a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy requires clear, explicit instruction. My approach is a blend of the best educational worlds—incorporating the child-led spirit of Reggio Emilia and Montessori with proven, evidence-based methods. My goal is always to remain responsive to each student's needs, ensuring they feel supported, challenged, and inspired

Awards & shining teacher moments

Hmm, does a card that says “You’re the best teacher ever!” count? 😊 I’ve also been lucky enough to receive a few actual awards from TpT, which has been such a nice surprise!

My own education history

The Classroom: I’ve taught across the spectrum, from 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, giving me a front-row seat to the developmental shifts in upper-elementary learners. Education: I hold a postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education (Preschool to 3rd Grade) and a degree in Health Science, majoring in Nutrition and Health Promotion. Support & Advocacy: Before the classroom, I spent ten years as a Disability Support Worker. This decade taught me that empathy and inclusivity aren’t just "buzzwords"—they are the foundation of effective teaching.
