After my students finished reading "The Chocolate Touch" and learning about simple machines, I wanted to create a STEM - STREAM project to incorporate both subjects. This project allows students to create 2 simple machines out of recycled materials to "move" a piece of chocolate.

After reading Mr. Popper's Penguins, students can create an insulated shipping container for a penguin.

Use this with Pre-K - 1st Grade as an introduction to Math. Use it as a sentence starter for a journal entry or as a cover for a math notebook.

I DESIGNED A STREAM CHALLENGE FOR MY 3RD GRADERS FOR EASTER. THE CHALLENGE IS TO BUILD A SYSTEM TO PROTECT AN EGG FROM BREAKING OR CRACKING WHEN DROPPED.

after reading Flat stanley with my third graders - I was searching for a "flat" activity to do. I created a Flat Germination project and it worked wonderfully! At least 6 out of 10 seeds grew for my students.

I used this in my 3rd grade ELA classroom. The students chose their favorite character from Peter Pan. I created a graphic organizer to help them choose correct transitional words, as this was their first Opinion writing.
