This is the perfect movie to show your Math class! You can create several levels of Expressions to solve using the numbers from the movie from this editable template or just use the one I created. The students must watch and work simultaneously on the assignment or they can watch to fill in the missing numbers and then solve after the movie. It's great and the students LOVE it!
This is an easy introduction to using Algebra Tiles to model how to solve a one step addition and subtraction equation. I use it in 6th grade on Day 1 of my equations unit.
Students will enjoy this activity using Brach's Conversation Hearts Candy. They will sort the colors, calculate the fraction, decimal, percent and angle degree, then graph the data by constructing a circle graph. My 6th and 7th grade students LOVED this fun activity!
