I am a Special Education Program Administrator with more than 20 years of experience supporting students with disabilities from preschool through age 22. Throughout my career, I have taught and led programs serving students with autism, intellectual disabilities, moderate to extensive support needs, and transition-age young adults. My passion is creating practical, engaging, and visually supportive resources that help students build independence in school, at work, at home, and in their communities. Experience

I am a Special Education Program Administrator with more than 20 years of experience supporting students with disabilities from preschool through age 22. Throughout my career, I have taught and led programs serving students with autism, intellectual disabilities, moderate to extensive support needs, and transition-age young adults. My passion is creating practical, engaging, and visually supportive resources that help students build independence in school, at work, at home, and in their communities. Every resource I create is designed to be immediately usable by teachers while promoting meaningful, real-world outcomes for students.

Teaching style

I believe students learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect directly to real life. My resources emphasize visual supports, functional academics, transition planning, vocational education, independent living skills, self-determination, and student voice. Whether I'm creating assessments, work tasks, life skills curricula, or transition activities, my goal is always the same: help students become as independent and confident as possible.

Awards & shining teacher moments

2008 – Special Education Teacher of the Year, San Andreas Regional Center 2017 – Service Above Self Award, San Andreas Regional Center 2018 – Employee Recognition Award Developed comprehensive Independent Living and Vocational Interest Inventories for transition-age students with significant disabilities. Created districtwide curricula, assessments, and visual supports focused on transition planning, life skills, functional academics, and vocational education. Presenter and trainer for special education teams on transition assessment, visual supports, functional curriculum development, and postsecondary planning. Special Education Program Administrator supporting students ages 3–22 and leading programs that promote meaningful postsecondary outcomes and independence.

I currently serve as a Special Education Program Administrator, supporting districtwide special education programs, compliance, instructional practices, and transition services.
