I loved introducing my students to the Hour of Code activities this year - they loved it too!
However, I realized that some of my students would get stumped after a bit and not want to go further without more direction. I felt I needed to break down some of the blockly codes between intervals of levels by way of a PowerPoint in order for my students to get the bigger picture.
I have kept it in a PowerPoint format in order for you to edit it where you feel it is needed.
I hope this helps
I created this PowerPoint to highlight/define the main parts of a computer tower's insides. I define the motherboard, power supply, CPU, BIOS Chip, RAM & ROM, hard drive, floppy disk drive, expansion cards, bits, and bytes.
I created these posters to clear up some confusion for my youngest students, Kindergarten and first grade, in the computer lab. Sometimes, it can get confusing for students when they are required to do more than just click on the mouse button. I have a poster with a picture of clicking on the left button, another poster showing what it looks like to click on the right button, another for drag and drop, and lastly one last poster for double clicking. These tend to clear up the confusion!

Here are two typing/keyboarding certificates that I created for those students in my class who went above and beyond. The "Dedicated Typist" was for the student who put in the most time practicing their typing. The "Typing Champion" was created for the student who achieved the highest speed/accuracy in the class.
These are downloadable in MS Word in order to edit them wherever you need. I hope these can save you some time!
I am a computer lab teacher and have created this letter in order to communicate with parents when my students are missing assignments. This is perfect for a computer teacher who has multiple classes and grades to teach. The letter can be copied over and over. It can be used for all grades. Quickly write down what the student is missing and have them deliver it to their parent/guardian. Communication with parents is a key to success, but it is hard to find the time....This saves me lots of

Algebraic Sudoku is a unique twist on the classic number puzzle that combines logic and algebraic equations. Each cell must be filled with a number that satisfies both the Sudoku rules and the algebraic equations provided. This one- and two-step equation version of Sudoku is the perfect tool for students to practice their algebraic skills. Each puzzle combines the logic of Sudoku with the fun of solving equations.
Designed to help visual learners succeed in the classroom, these posters are the perfect addition to the Primary Mathematics (Singapore Math) curriculum. To make it easier for my students to navigate this complex terrain, I designed math posters that I hang in a prominent, easy-to-read location. I also made it easy on myself by having them all printed and ready to go for the entire school year. I refresh the posters for each new topic/module we begin, ensuring that my students have quick access
