This packet contains writing choices for the first unit in the Treasures Reading Curriculum. Each project contains a brief description, graphic organizers, and rubrics. Some even contain extra support for learning support students. Enjoy the ease these projects will bring to you and your students. This is a 25 page journal for students to practice writing opinions, as shown in the common core writing standards. There is a rubric after each writing activity, self assessments, and an introductory 2 pages to complete as a guided practice. This is a good 20 point assessment that can be given after the first 7 lessons of the Land and Water Science Unit often taught in grade 4 or grade 5. This test is fill-in-the blank and multiple choice and covers topics including the water cycle, flowing and non-flowing water, and science materials.
