Loteria is a traditional game played in many latin american countries and is similar to BINGO.Students must CHOOSE 9 notable Latinas/os from the designated playing cards to add to their blank playmat. The first person to fill up their playmat with the “tokens” wins and shouts “loteria!”. Also includes links to information about each of the 10 notable Latinas/os.
Scholars will be able to use this rubric to self-assess their understanding of a word problem, the usage & explanation of particular mathematical strategy as listed. This rubric also includes a section for a partner to assess their strategy as well.
Scholars will use this graphic organizer to construct a written argument on the topic of social media and its potential benefit to society. The question states, "Do social media sites benefit our society?" Students will craft an argumentative paragraph while incorporating a claim (agree or disagree), evidence, counterclaim, and conclusion on this issue of social media.
