My goal is simple: to help passionate teachers make classroom life easier and more joyful with creative, differentiated resources that support both students and teachers. Here you will find bright, engaging literacy, math and classroom resources designed especially for Kindergarten through Second Grade. Many of my activities integrate phonics, reading comprehension, writing, and social-emotional learning while aligning with Science of Reading best practices. My resources are designed to: ✨ motivate young learners ✨ support differentiated instruction ✨ build strong classroom communities ✨ help students grow into confident readers and writers Whether you are a new teacher, student teacher, seasoned educator, or parent, my hope is that you will find resources here that add a little sunshine and sparkle to your teaching.About Me I am a retired primary teacher with over 30 years in education, including 25 years teaching first and second grade full time. One of the highlights of my career was looping with my students for 13 years, teaching them in both first and second grade and watching them grow as learners. Throughout my career I became known for helping students build confidence and develop a love of learning, especially those who struggled academically. Even after retirement, I still love being in the classroom and currently support Special Education students in a K–1 classroom. In addition to teaching full time, I also spent 9 years substitute teaching in K–4 classrooms while raising my children, which gave me valuable experience working with a wide range of learners and classroom environments. A Little Sweetness I learned a long time ago that a little sweetness goes a long way in the classroom. Creating a warm, positive learning environment helps students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. That philosophy inspired the name Sunshine & Lollipops — because teaching should feel joyful, encouraging, and full of small moments that make children smile. As a proud wife, mom, and Mimi to 6 grandchildren, I know how magical learning can be when it is paired with encouragement, creativity, and a little bit of fun. My goal is to create resources that help teachers build classrooms where every child feels valued and excited to learn.
