Happy October!! My favorite time of year! This is a book study based on the book called Pumpkins by Jacquline Farmer. You may access this book through epic books. I have created a Non Fiction book study about pumpkins that I enjoy doing with my class during the month of October. Included are worksheets with questions all about pumpkins and the process of growing pumpkins. Also there are some activities included where students can be creative and artsy as well. Enjoy!

Hello! Here I have a novel study based on the novel My Father's Dragon. I think this is a great story to read as whole group. This a packet that is a reading and writing companion based on the story. I like to use this packet with my class. In my class, we will either do the pages together or we will get together in our literacy groups to complete the page together. There is a word search included based on the book as well for those students that finish early. Hope you enjoy!

This packet is a non-fiction reading study about Chocolate. The reading study is based on the book The Story of Chocolate. In my second grade class we study a chocolate unit. From different fiction chocolate books to non fiction chocolate books. In our chocolate unit we will learn all about chocolate and where it originated from as well as who discovered it, and the history behind chocolate.

Mother's Day is very special for many of us. In my class, I enjoy doing this Mother's Day craft with my students because it allows the students to share some sweet, loving memories about their moms. I like this craft because not only is it adorable, but also a easy clean up.
