Sunshine Robbins

I have a total of 21 years experience in elementary education. I am currently in my second year of second grade. Before that I had taught fourth grade for ten years. When I began my career I was in Title 1/RLA & Math K-8 Intervention for four years.

I have adopted a blended style of teaching where I delegate and facilitate student learning by evaluating their learning styles and adapt my teaching approaches to them. As a class we expect, respect, and inspect mistakes. I have tried to adopt a growth mindset in my classroom where we will evaluate each task and situation as needed.

Often overworked, overlooked, and extremely tired, as a teacher and a mom I really do not base my life on awards and honors from others. I have the best students and children that any teacher could dream of having. I love my job and where I work. These things are honor and award enough for me.
