About the store
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! This is my 22nd year of teaching, and I have worked for Fayetteville Public Schools for the past 15 years. I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade language arts & social studies, and I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist. I previously served as a literacy coach for Fayetteville Public Schools, and I am Nationally Board Certified as well as a Master Professional Educator. I absolutely LOVE teaching, and I am passionate about helping learners reach their fullest academic potential.
I currently teach an Orton-Gillingham based multisensory language therapy program called Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with dyslexia.

This EDITABLE student progress report allows you customize for your particular class. I teach a program called Take Flight, so I created this to match some of our classroom goals. The GLOW AND GROW portion of the progress report is for students to complete on their own with some guidance. This is a powerful conversation starter for parent-teacher conferences.

4 Corners Icebreaker
Here’s another good icebreaker for the beginning of a school semester or as a fun way for people to get to know each other better. Four Corners (also known as Four Squares) is a simple activity in which students share who they are through the use of hand-drawn pictures. This icebreaker is for all ages, and works well with small and medium groups. It usually takes about 15 minutes, depending on how much time you want to allow for sharing the pictures. Teaching style
My goals as an educator are to motivate, inspire, generate student’s curiosity, and to create an exceptionally positive instructional learning environment. I believe every child can succeed, and through meaningful collaboration we can create a positive professional learning community.
