I used this resource to teach making inferences within Esperanza Rising. This only covers the first few chapters of the text.

Each vocabulary card comes with the word, definition, sentence, synonym, antonym, part of speech, and image. I print and laminate these each unit for my students as a supplement to the lessons in Superkids. We use these to guide our practice throughout each ten day unit. I used this to practice making inferences from Esperanza Rising. The specific task they were asked to do was to make inferences based on how various characters are responding to challenges using text evidence. This was done as a whole group activity to practice our skills. There are two pages technically to the document but the second page is blank.

I used this choice board after our students had read and studied the book No Summit out of Sight. This was a final project. I have an editable version of this, just ask for it!

Great to keep track of all of the books within the room/classroom library! I hang mine from a clipboard on the side of the book shelf.
