About the store

Experience

Working with children with special needs since 2003 | I have had the privilege to teach students with many different learning disabilities, emotional difficulties, Autism. | Master teacher for student teacher | Mentor for new teachers | I also help families and their IEP teams work collaboratively and develop truly effective IEPs for their students.

Teaching style

I believe all students are capable of learning. It's all about finding the way that works best for each one. New special education teachers come out of college eager to learn and become the best teacher they can be. I love helping them achieve that goal.

My own education history

I have a BA in Liberal Studies: teaching and learning with an emphasis in human development and a minor in developmental psychology, a mild/moderate Education Specialist Credential, and an MA in Special Education.

Additional biographical information

I was born and raised in Southern California and am so happy to be raising my three incredible boys here too!
