The Button Books are a fun and successful solution I created (after years of trial and error) to keep students engaged in speech therapy by giving them simple sentences to say that, when said correctly, bring about action in another person. When working with kids on comprehension of Wh- questions, I often felt like I was working on vocabulary (ex: asking them a bunch of who questions) rather than teaching them to process the difference between WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and WHY.
