With 7 years of teaching experience in 5th and 3rd grade classrooms, I’ve had the privilege of working in Title 1 schools with wonderfully diverse groups of learners. I know firsthand the challenge of making science both accessible and exciting for students with a wide range of needs, learning styles, and backgrounds.
My resources are designed to spark curiosity, simplify complex concepts, and give every student an entry point into the world of science. Awards & shining teacher moments
I have been the 5th grade lead teacher for 4 out of my 5 years teaching. At Richmond Public Schools, I was an academic architect and a curriculum developer for the Richmond Public school's science department. In Virginia and in Florida, I was the science support contact for the school, in which I lead professional development with staff and joined PLC team meetings to help plan for science.
My own education history
I received my bachelor's from Longwood University in 2016. In 2020, I earned my Master of Teaching from Virginia Commonweath University.
