Shark! Vocabulary Card Game This game is a vocabulary review game based on the rules of the game “Old Maid.” Students should already be familiar with the vocabulary words before playing the game. The activity is excellent for a review or formative assessment. There are 51 total cards per set. There are 50 vocabulary cards and 1 shark card. Pairs are made by matching up word and definition. The game game be played with 2 or more players. Great way to add some excitement to vocabulary development.
This is a review game that is played in groups of 2 - 5 students. This is a fun way for students to review collaboratively. Instructions for the game: The game can be played with 2 – 5 players. There are 30 vocabulary cards and 4 crab cards in a set. Mix the vocabulary cards and crab cards together. Place all cards in a cup, bowl, bucket, etc (I use old coffee cans, yum!). This will be the drawing stack. Students take turns drawing a card from the drawing stack. Once, a student draws a card. T
