About the store

Experience

I have been teaching science for the last 15 years and still going strong! I've taught subjects such as, Biology, AP Biology, Physical Science, Physics, 7th grade science, 8th grade science,Theater 1, Theater 2, and Theater 3. What a diversity of content!

Teaching style

My teaching strategies incorporate the "hands on" approach to learning. I love to do labs and see how much fun the students are having. I approach a lesson, making sure that students can not only problem solve, but be able to come up with solutions and have fun as well!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am AP certified in Biology and have been awarded several mini grants in the last year for my 8th grade science class!

My own education history

I hold a B.S. degree in Biology with an emphasis in Marine Biology from Tennessee Technological University. I also hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee State University. I am also certified K-12 in Theater.
