This astronomy lesson covers the highlights of the Space Race. It contains a presentation (both PPT and pdf versions) and 3 pages of student fill in the blank "comic style" notes. Mix it up! Lecture, hands on labs, games, physical activities, whiteboarding, etc. Just not too much of anything in one sitting!

My own education history

I started out as an engineering major, but switched to physics about half way through. After I graducated with my B.S. in phyics I eventually went back for a Masters in Education, and I've been teaching ever since.
