A fun, simple first week of school activity! Students will decorate a pendant to share facts about them using multiplication and division. Students will also share their goals and favorite things about math! Would be super cute to hang up!

Use theses slides to help your students review mixed decimal operations. I have provided 10 holiday themed word problems which are solved by addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The link will take you to your own copy to post to your online learning platform for students. You could also use this resource in a whole group or small group setting.

Students are able to assess their own writing with these printable task cards! Print them and tape them up around the room for students to roam station to station, reviewing their essays independently. These could also be used to peer edit, explain elements of an argumentative essay, or for state testing review! This rubric is a great resource for grading science fair projects! It includes grades based on research, display board, and in class participation. Teachers may choose how to scale the grading. Both the novel and movie, Wonder, are amazing additions to every upper elementary classroom! After we completed our novel study on Wonder, we watched the movie as a 5th grade class. Students were then challenged to tie in our content on informational and persuasive writing to complete a 5 paragraph essay comparing the novel and film. Use this fun reading homework assignment as extra credit or as part of your weekly packet! This is a fun way to encourage students to read and to promote a self motivation for reading at home. Students love the fun instructions and new ways to read their favorite books.
