I’m deeply committed to creating supportive and effective learning environments for all students.
My teaching career in special education spans five years, beginning with three years in a larger public school district. During this time, I spent two years in a K-5 resource setting, followed by one year as the district autism program teacher for K-2 students with significant support needs. These experiences honed my skills in individualized instruction and behavior management.
Currently, I am in my second year at a public charter school in downtown Indianapolis, where I am a K-4 resource teacher, specifically working with LRE 51s and 52s. I’m passionate about tailoring educational strategies to meet the diverse needs of my students and helping them achieve their personal best.
My goal is to inspire and empower students to reach their fullest potential. I’m incredibly passionate about my job! 😊

AM/PM Daily Behavior Chart Template
This behavior smiley chart can be used daily. The template is editable, so you can change the number of subject rows, daily behavior goals, number of goals you are taking data on, etc. This has worked great for my students who need to work for a reward twice a day instead of waiting until the end of the day. I will typically send one copy home for parents/guardians to see. I keep the original for data purposes! Font used: Roboto Condensed on Google Docs

CVC Short Vowels Elkonin Boxes
50 Elkonin Box Cards!To use:Each box correlates to one sound in a word. Students will touch each box while saying the individual sounds, then slide their finger under the entire word to read it. These work great with magnetic blue/red letters, especially to model for students who may be non-speaking. Recommend laminating to try out dry erase markers!
