This activity can be used in two different ways:
1. Students read a story and determine the main idea and central message. Then they will compare and contrast the differences between the two.
2. Students will read two passages. Then they will compare either the main idea or central message of both passages.
This can be used as an individual activity or as a pair or group. It can be easily modified for other skills and grade levels as well.
This is a game that will have students out of their seats and asking to keep playing. I used it in my classroom for a review before standardized testing.
