Surviving Middle School

Students will create a research question, survey their classmates, perform statistical calculations, and create a histogram and boxplot.

Students will create a survey question and collect data from their classmates. Once they have their data, students will follow the steps provided to calculate the sectors of the pie chart and then create their graph.

Students research 4 stock prices and then answer multiple math questions about the prices. Students will add decimals, multiple decimals by powers of 10, round decimals, compare decimals, and write decimals in expanded form.

Empower students to share about their culture with this guided at-home interview. Students interview family members and write about various aspects of their culture. Once the interview is completed, students can make a slide-show, poster, or another product to share about themselves to the class/school.

Use this template to customize a weekly grade letter for students to complete and get signed by a trusted adult. This tool can help increase home to school communication about progress and classroom choices.
