Use this sequence of bulletin-board-ready photos showing the mixing and baking process for Patricia Polacco's wonderful story, Thunder Cake. Sue Surface shared this 2nd grade Houghton Mifflin story and just had to make the cake. Before you make/share it together, fill in the sequencing sheet so you what you're doing as a baker.
It's cool to have your students to have their very own math license hanging from the zipper of their backpack --why not let everyone know how you have mastered memorization of those facts! With this purchase, you have a MS Publisher 2007 template to go into and personalize. Instructions are included on page 2 for editing, printing, and then making the tag. Sue Surface has created this coveted math award and has another "license" for handwriting achievement.

Also, try my sequencing activity worksheet to use before baking.

Additional biographical information
My own involvement in the visual arts emerged from a love of children's picture books I was using daily in my classroom. The combining of these personal interests has allowed me a wonderful connection with young learners who are natural artists themselves. It's a joy to be able to be with children in this way.
