This is a puzzle to practice adding and subtracting positive and negative decimals. It is designed for accelerated 6th grade math students, or grade-level 7th grade math students. It may be used by individual students or in groups. Students cut out the triangles and rearrange them so that each problem and its answer are touching each other. Some problems and answers will be on the outside and not have a match.
Students will answer 20 binomial multiplication problems. When a correct answer is entered into the answer space, the rectangle will turn green and pixels from the picture will appear.
This is a 6th Grade Math Smart Notebook file which contains the student and teacher resources provided by the Utah Middle School Math Project as well as small Notebook files for each of the individual lessons and self assessments. The student and teacher editions are also linked to the Notebook file.
