About the store
I am an SLP who works in acute care. I spend most of my days in emergency and medicine units. I have also worked in inpatient stroke neurology, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient swallowing and voice. I pull from my varied experience to offer materials for new grads, SLPs who are changing roles, or for seasoned clinicians looking to expand their toolkit.
I work in a city with a large multicultural population. I am passionate about language learning. I have learned multiple languages, and I always try and learn a few words in my patients' language to establish trust and rapport. I make resources that are translation-friendly and provide materials in various languages to use when interpreters aren't available.

Experience

Teaching style
I value flexibility, efficiency, and patient connection in my assessments. Part of this means having comprehensive and easy-to-use screening materials, so I can focus more on building rapport and caring for patients. I also value bridging the gap between language barriers, as this builds trust and allows patients to better understand and participate in assessments.
My own education history
I have an MSc in Speech Language Pathology, an Undergraduate in Linguistics, and a TESOL Level 1 certificate. My native language is English and I have studied French, Chinese, Punjabi, and Spanish.
