About the store

Experience

I have run my own in home preschool with children ages two to five years old. I have taught in a school library for preschool to fifth grade kids. I have also worked in an after school program with elementary, middle and high school students.

Teaching style

In my experience with a wide range of children, I have learned to meet each child where they are instead of trying to make them fit a mold of where they "should" be. My lessons offer a wide variety of activities, and I hope teachers will be able to use them to reach a wide variety of children. My goal is to create preschool and kindergarten lessons that will give children a love for learning, regardless of their level.

My own education history

I have taken several college level courses in early childhood education. I graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in the field of sociology. I have kept up with professional development in early childhood, library science and after school training.

Additional biographical information

Since I was little, I have wanted to make a difference in the world. Later, I found a love for being around children. I loved sharing my knowledge with them, whether it be with little ones in my own home, in my school library where we were able to explore literature together, or in an after school program that served children from first to twelfth grade. In 2015, I sustained injuries that left me paralyzed. While I miss being able to be with my kiddos personally, TpT has given me an opportunity to make a difference by letting me create high quality preschool lessons, knowing that they are being shared with little ones and giving them joy. Thank you for being a part of my journey!
