This is a Venn diagram that I use to help my students see the similarities and differences between elements and compounds. This activity can be completed on their own using notes that they have completed in class or it can be completed as a direct teach exercise using the PowerPoint that is included. You could even print out blank versions and use them as a quick assessment by having the kids fill them out.
