Experience
I just completed my fifteenth year as an elementary librarian at a Texas school that has K-5th grades. Before becoming a media specialist, I was a first grade teacher for 10 years.
Teaching style
I love to use creative storytelling and fun props to get kids interested in reading. I like to involve my school's classroom teachers in dramatic storytelling elements by having them dress up or act out the books we read and study in the library!

My own education history
I received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southwest Texas State University in 1990 and earned my School Library Certification from the University of North Texas in 2002.
