This file consists of two different floss rule posters (one with example words and one without example words). There is also a week of lesson plans to teach the floss rule. These lessons have both support and extension pieces. At the end of the lesson, you will also find a story filled with floss rule words.

This is a poem as well as an additional wordlist to review all the ways to make the long u or long oo sound. I print out the wordlist and use them as flash cards for students to read or sort them into the vowel pattern.

I have also included both a colored and black and white copy of oi/oy connect 4. This is a great game to help students practice what they have been explicitly taught. Then have them outline a story by creating a character, setting, and a story line. Then have them use their outline to write their very own story that follows that spelling pattern.
