Teaching style

Collaboration with families, teachers and all providers is the key to providing consistent and effective therapy.

Awards & shining teacher moments

National Foundation for Autism Research: Educator Award (Nov. 2017, Nov 2018) Autism Science Foundation Travel Grant (May 2010)

My own education history

I earned my MS in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University, and my undergraduate degree in psychology from Barnard College at Columbia University, also in New York City. While at Columbia, I spent a year as a student teacher at the Barnard College Center for Toddler Development.

Additional biographical information

I love watching in amazement as my two small children become increasingly independent communicators. We sing, talk and laugh throughout the day! I am the oldest of seven children, including a middle schooler who is a complex communicator and profoundly affected by autism. I love working with families to identify their priorities and find solutions that work across settings.
