I have been teaching for more years than I can count! I've taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, general education classes. I also have a masters in special education. I work with a lot of technology in the classroom, and I am part of a district team to figure out how to make the common core work. I'll be adding updating the SMARTnotebook files to the latest edition as soon as I have a few minutes. This year has been off to a crazy/busy start, and I'll be adding new things as soon as I am able!

This Smartboard lesson goes over the steps to solving simple addition problems with unlike denominators. I have used it as a small group review, but it could also be used to teach the concept as a whole group. Students have the opportunity to interact with how to add fractions with unlike denominators to help reinforce the steps. There are several additional problems with answers provided at the end of the lesson.
