You can use this chart to show students how close they are to their goal in Accelerated Reader. Print on cardstock and laminate for durability. When students reach their goal you can put their name on the correct chart with a clothespin, etc. The top slides are percents and the bottom slides are points. This will motivate students to read, read, read!
This is a good tool to use so you know what skills your Kindergarten students have mastered throughout the year. It's a great tool to show parents at conferences. When they master a skill, you simply check it off. I use a different color for every quin. If you use a different color every time, it shows their progress throughout the year.
Skills:
letters
letter sounds
numbers
shapes
word family words
rhyming words
sight words they should know listed by quin (Journeys)
