My goal on TPT is to make meaningful, effective, and engaging lessons, worksheets, assessments, and instructional coaching forms for educators that will encourage the next generation of thinkers. I have 30 years of educational experience; teaching in several different grade levels and administration positions.

Word Work - Prefix Word Sort
Children learn phonics and spelling best when it is part of a wide range of engaging literacy experiences, accompanied by rigorous teaching. Word Sorts are a great way to engage students in hands-on discovery as they learn new words. Just print the word sort and have students cut and glue the beginning prefix to the top of a blank sheet of small sized construction paper, or in their word study notebook. Students then cut, sort and glue the correct word under each prefix heading.
