My teaching style is rooted in collaboration, engagement, and purposeful practice. I design my classroom around small group instruction and activities that promote teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. I believe students learn best when they have the opportunity to discuss, explore, and take ownership of their learning alongside their peers.
I also place a strong emphasis on phonics-based instruction, even at the upper elementary level, to ensure that all students build a solid foundation in decoding, fluency, and vocabulary. Using strategies informed by the Science of Reading, I tailor instruction to meet students where they are and help them grow into confident, independent readers and thinkers.
My goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and academically rich environment where every student feels seen, challenged, and empowered.
