I have four years of classroom teaching experience in both special education and inclusive classroom settings. For two years, I served as a 3rd-grade learning specialist in Boston, where I provided targeted reading and math support, ensured students met their IEP goals, tracked data, differentiated instruction, and implemented accommodations. I also led IEP meetings and pulled small groups for students needing extra support, regardless of whether they had an IEP or 504 plan.
After that, I spent two years as a lead classroom teacher in an inclusion classroom in New York City, working with both general education students and those with special needs, continuing my dedication to differentiated instruction and individualized supports. Additionally, in my current role as an academic specialist in education consulting in San Diego, I assess students to determine their unique learning needs and design materials that help them thrive.
