My most rewarding moments come from seeing my students achieve breakthroughs. There is nothing better than watching a child transition from a frustrated reader, encoder, or writer to an excited, enthusiastic learner who wants to be in reading class all day and truly loves reading.

A Little More About Me (The Empty Nester Edition)
When I'm not in the classroom, my wonderful husband and I are enjoying our lives as newly minted empty nesters! Our three adorable children are transitioning from college students and young adults into professional careers, which means lots of fun moving in, moving out, and visiting. This transition also resulted in a beautiful gift: cat children! We now have five cats at home, four of whom have been permanently adopted into our care. As you can imagine, I still don't get much peace and quiet, but the free time I do find is dedicated to creating the fun, effective resources I use every day with my own students and that I'm excited to share with you.
