I’m an experienced Science teacher and curriculum leader from New Zealand with over 20 years in the classroom. I currently teach General Science, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space Science, and Agricultural Science to students in Years 9–13. I’m an experienced Science teacher and curriculum leader from New Zealand with over 20 years in the classroom. I currently teach General Science, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space Science, and Agricultural Science to students in Years 9–13. I’ve also supported students with special needs and behavioral challenges, and I’ve written curriculum programs and schemes of work tailored to diverse learners. My resources are grounded in real classroom practice and designed to save teachers time while keeping students engaged.

Teaching style

My teaching style blends hands-on learning with inquiry-based and real-world Science. I create engaging, differentiated lessons that support students across all ability levels, from literacy-boosting tasks to hands-on experiments and critical thinking activities. I believe in making Science meaningful, manageable, and fun, for both teachers and students!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest moments include leading cross-curricular Science and SEL programs, mentoring new teachers, and seeing students who once struggled with confidence thrive in Science. I’ve developed department-wide schemes of work and supported school-wide literacy and wellbeing initiatives. My biggest reward is watching students light up when Science finally “clicks.”

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology and a Master’s degree in Education. My background in both Science and pedagogy allows me to create classroom resources that are not only scientifically accurate but also aligned with sound educational practice.

Additional biographical information

Outside the classroom, I’m a busy mum, an avid reader, and a passionate traveler. I love baking, gardening, walking, and skiing with my family. My life as a working mum inspires many of my resources, I understand what it means to be short on time but still want to deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons. I create resources that are ready to use, purposeful, and designed with busy teachers in mind.
