Teaching style

My teaching style is all about engagement, creativity, and purpose. I believe students learn best when they’re actively involved, when the work feels meaningful, and when they see themselves reflected in what they’re doing. Whether I’m working with gifted learners or supporting unique needs, my classroom is built on: Student interest Goal-setting Growth mindset And a ton of meaningful conversations I want every child to feel inspired to work hard, to chase curiosity, and to celebrate progress—big or small. My resources are designed with this same energy in mind: hands-on, thought-provoking, and made for real classrooms like yours.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Over the course of my 25-year teaching journey, I’ve been honored to celebrate some truly meaningful milestones: 🌟 Teacher of the Year during the 2020 school year — a time that challenged all of us, and deepened my love for innovative, student-centered learning. 🌟 Gifted Chairperson at my school — where I support colleagues and advocate for the needs of advanced learners across grades 1–5. These recognitions mean so much because they reflect what matters most to me: showing up with heart, adapting with purpose, and helping every student grow.

My own education history

I’m a lifelong learner at heart, always striving to grow alongside my students. My educational background reflects my passion for both innovation and intentional instruction: 🎓 Master’s Degree in Educational Technology – American InterContinental University 🎓 Specialist Degree in Curriculum & Instruction – Argosy University These experiences have shaped the way I create classroom materials: with a balance of modern tools, strategic design, and a deep understanding of how kids learn best.

Additional biographical information

I’m a proud mom of two amazing young adults who constantly inspire me with their strength and humor. At home, I’m surrounded by love—and lots of fur!—thanks to my sweet Labradoodle and Goldendoodle, who always remind me to pause, play, and enjoy the little things. Outside the classroom, I channel my creativity through Sawdust & Soul Custom Creations, where I design custom wood and laser-engraved pieces that speak to the heart. Crafting, creating, and dreaming big have always been part of who I am. At the core of my teaching is a simple belief: learning should be meaningful, personal, and full of joy. I create with the whole child in mind—celebrating their curiosity, their individuality, and their journey. Creating for Teachers Pay Teachers gives me the chance to connect with passionate educators like you. It’s my way of spreading light, offering support, and sharing tools that truly make a difference in classrooms everywhere.
