Experience

Welcome to Teach Me Maybe, where creativity meets curriculum and every download comes with a sprinkle of sass and a dash of genius. Teaching style

Imagine if a TED Talk, a game show, and a telenovela had a baby, that's kind of what my teaching style looks like. I believe in high expectations, low fear, and lots of laughter. My materials are hands-on, visually engaging, and built for student choice and voice. I love a good project, a powerful essential question, and lessons that connect classroom content to the real world (with a twist).

Awards & shining teacher moments

While I haven’t accepted my Nobel Prize in Education (yet), I have been that teacher students visit years later just to say thanks. I’ve led student trips abroad, helped launch a Model UN club, guided first-generation students to college, and even once taught an entire lesson in the voice of a Spanish soap opera villain, because why not? My proudest moments are the ones where students feel seen, safe, and smarter than they did the day before.

My own education history

I’m a proud first-generation college graduate, and my path to education wasn’t always a straight line—but it was full of passion, curiosity, and a lot of coffee-fueled study sessions. I’ve earned degrees in Spanish, Psychology, and Education, and I’ve also studied and traveled abroad extensively. I've had powerful experiences that shaped how I see the world and how I teach. I believe school should feel expansive, not limiting, and that learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings (or even when the diploma arrives). Whether in the classroom or out in the world, I’m always learning—and I try to pass that energy on to my students.

Additional biographical information

I’m a teacher, writer, curriculum designer, and proud Yorkie parent (shoutout to Zorro, who oversees quality control). I created Teach Me Maybe as a place to share what works in real classrooms, whether you're a new teacher, a veteran looking to spice things up, or someone who just really loves a good pun.
