I have also had them create their names or initials and then locate the coordinates so that a peer-partner can create their name as a way of monitoring their progress. With a partner, students will play the game of battleship where they ask their partner if they have a ship at ____, _____ coordinate and the partner will say yes, you have a hit or no, sorry.
