What to do if you lose something
Ever seen a student lose something and not know what to do? Ever heard a student blame someone else, rather than saying “I misplaced it”?
Hang this chart up in your classroom, then wait until someone loses something (give it twenty minutes). Avoid spending your valuable time looking for the lost object. Point to the chart and empower your student to take responsibility for their own belongings.
