About the store
I have a Masters degree in Human Development and a Bachelors degree in History and Humanities, with minors in Latin American Studies and Classical Civilizations. I taught preschool for over five years, homeschooled two young kids for almost three years, and currently work in elementary school. My family and I traveled North America fulltime and we loved experiencing nature, culture, history, and food in each area went. I also spend a significant amount of time finding ways to enjoy nature with my kids and the kids I work with each day at school.

Experience

I have a Masters degree in Human Development and a Bachelors degree in History and Humanities, with minors in Latin American Studies and Classical Civilizations. I taught preschool for over five years, homeschooled two young kids for almost three years, and currently work in elementary school. My family and I traveled North America fulltime and we loved experiencing nature, culture, history, and food in each area went. I also spend a significant amount of time finding ways to enjoy nature with my kids and the kids I work with each day at school.

Teaching style

I love to use nature in any way I can to help enhance the learning experience. For example, using nature objects as manipulatives, bringing nature items inside to explore with senses, using worksheets that have realistic looking nature items on them, etc. When I created materials for homeschooling, I focused on supplementing outdoor adventures, but the materials I create and use in elementary school classrooms bring in elements of nature to enhance the required curriculum.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I graduated with honors for both my BA and MA.
