Fun Fall Powerpoint
This slideshow was created to introduce the season Fall to students in k-2. Teacher can walk through it with students as they engage in group discussions triggered by the questions and visuals.

Sound Walk Recording Sheet
When studying forces & motion, my students learn about sounds & vibrations first. We take a sound walk around the school and fill this sheet in accordingly. They have so much fun listening for different sounds!
1st - 3rd
Music, Science, Writing
Sink or Float Worksheet
Students will conduct an experiment to decide if the listed items sink or float! Teacher can use a clear container, etc. with water and drop each item in as the class records the result.

Spring Bookmarks
These bookmarks are fun for the students to color and make their own. I usually print them on card-stock and then laminate them once the students are done decorating. Happy Spring!

Black chalk letters with a simple decorative wooden background. I had a chalk/wood themed classroom last year and these were great for my word wall. I plan to use them next year as well and add a different neon color background before laminating!

Experience

Teaching style
When it comes to teaching and learning, I believe that environment is everything! I am a very energetic and lively teacher. Some of my kids might even call me crazy! Students today need movement, innovation, and creativity to get motivated. I believe your classroom should be a reflection of yourself but also something your students will enjoy and do their best learning.

My own education history
My Undergraduate studies were a mix between a couple schools in NC! I spent 3 years at Appalachian State University and then finished my degree in Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am now a student at Appalachian State again as I continue my graduate studies in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also taking 1 course a semester at East Carolina University to receive a certification in Teaching Children in Poverty.
